Class Experience

A Beginner French Class for older beginner students aged 14 to 18 years, takes place once per week and learners can join at any time, no prior knowledge of French required.  (Beginner French)

Each lesson will teach key French vocabulary and build the words into simple sentences. There will be a focus on grammar suitable for this age group which will give more depth to the learning experience and enable more progress in the language. 

We aim to nurture confidence to use French in the real world and also offer a perspective of French culture that will entice and captivate the students imagination. We do this through French music, authentic reading materials and talking about history, culture and our own experiences in France.

Rebecca has a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education with modern foreign languages as a specialism, experience as a classroom teacher and countless years as an online teacher.
The values behind her teaching are that learning is fun and is a life long journey
She aims to inspire a love of learning in her students and cares that each one learns well.  Her philosophy is that children learn best in a safe environment where they are free to explore, experiment and make mistakes

Camilla is a licensed and certified teacher with six years of experience teaching French in person and five years experience teaching online. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in French Teaching from the University of Utah. She also lived in three French-speaking countries for a year and a half (France, Switzerland, Luxembourg). As a teacher, Camilla is patient, encouraging, and upbeat. She makes class enjoyable and stress-free while still creating a challenging learning environment. She enjoys using music, movement, and visuals to help learners focus and engage. Camilla loves the French language and loves sharing her passion with others.
