Beginner Level
Are you looking for fun, interactive beginner French classes online? If so, then you've found the right course! This is Part 1 of a two part Beginner French Summer Camp series. Throughout this 4-day French summer course, students will be introduced to vocabulary and basic conversation structures related to the theme of the day. While the themes will change each class, all new content will build upon what has been previously learned, which will maximize student learning and confidence. Students will engage in immersive French activities, including: games, crafts, music, and even a virtual field trip to the Parc Zoologique de Paris! The small group setting of this course will give students plenty of opportunities to practice their listening, speaking, and comprehension skills while socializing with new friends. ------------------------------------------------ 📝 Lesson 1: Greetings + Kahoot Students will learn French greetings, how to introduce themselves, and finish with a fun game of Kahoot to practice! 📝 Lesson 2: Emotions + Game Students will learn different ways to ask and answer the question, "comment ça va?" They will also learn vocabulary centered around feelings and play a game. 📝 Lesson 3: Numbers 1-50 + Bingo Students will learn the numbers 1-50 and how to say their ages in French. They will also learn how to ask and answer questions related to numbers and play an exciting game of French bingo! 📝 Lesson 4: Animals + Virtual Field Trip Students will learn the French names of animals and vocabulary that can be used to describe their physical appearances. Then, they will take a virtual field trip to Parc Zoologique de Paris! ------------------------------------------------ Are you looking for classes for younger or older learners? Kimberly is a fun, certified French teacher from Calgary, Canada who now calls Oaxaca, Mexico "home." She has over 10 years of experience teaching languages to students of all ages, from around the world. Kimberly holds a B.A. in French & Spanish, a minor in Linguistics, a B.A. in Pedagogy, and a TESOL certification. She is a very patient teacher who loves creating exciting activities that encourage student interaction, communication, and expression. Kimberly loves connecting with her students, learning about their cultures, and sharing her own rich cultural background.
