over 2 WeeksLesson 1:
Fractions Vocabulary
Students will know the important vocabulary terms that are needed to understanding adding and subtracting fractions with common denominators.
Terms include: fraction, numerator, denominator, common denominator, simplest form Lesson 2:
Simplifying Fractions
Students will be able to simplify fractions.
Students will work to find the greatest common factor between a numerator and denominator to get a fraction into simplest form. Lesson 3:
Adding Fractions with Like Denominators
Students will be able to add fractions with like denominators.
Students will add fractions by comparing the denominators, adding the numerators, and then finally simplifying the fraction. Lesson 4:
Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators
Students will be able to subtract fractions with like denominators.
Students will subtract fractions by comparing the denominators, subtracting the numerators, and then finally simplifying the fraction. Other Details
