In this small class (no more than three learners), students will receive individual attention as they learn the fundamental basics for how to start almost any crochet project. Students will learn how to create a slip knot and how to crochet a chain stitch. These are basic fundamentals of crochet that are needed to be able to crochet any other stitch. Students will learn how to create a slip knot to start a crochet project and how to crochet a chain stitch.
My mom taught me the basics of how to crochet when I was a kid, and since then I have created multiple fun crochet projects and gifts.
After this class, learners are encouraged to keep practicing the skills that they learn. The more you practice, the better you will get at it.
-Worsted weight yarn (nothing fuzzy, or sparkly as these are more difficult to work with and not a great choice for a beginner) -Crochet hook (sizes I, J, or K are good beginner sizes) -Scissors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using crochet hooks and scissors in this class.
