Learning to cook is an important skill for everyone to have. My mom taught me at a very young age to cook and I absolutely love to cook. It's important to start with simple dishes and mastering them before proceeding to more complicated dishes. In this lesson, I will teach your child step by step how to make the perfect, easy grilled cheese (ask my children's friends, they love it). We will learn about temperatures and why it's so important to use the correct temperature when cooking. Will also investigate various things we can add to our grilled cheese to change it up. During the lesson, we will take about cause and effect while cooking. The students are welcome to cook along with me, or they can watch my step by step process and make their grilled cheese later. At the end of class, I will assess their understanding by asking questions about what we did and why we did it.

Parental Guidance
Students may need help with hot griddles or hot stoves. Don't want anyone to burn themselves.
Supply List
cooking griddle (my preference) or pan for a stove butter - *****room temperature**** sliced cheese of your choice 2 slices of bread turner/spatula Optional: spinach or other veggies sliced meat
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello. I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have experience teaching children from pre-k through 10th grade. I have a Bachelors Degree in Child Development and Family Studies, and a minor in Education. I have been married for 18 years. My husband and I have 3 children ages 15, 13, and 11. I currently homeschool our children, and have since my oldest started Kindergarten. I teach various classes and subjects at our local homeschool tutorial.
Since I homeschool our children, I have experience in all subject areas and learning styles. It's so important for teachers to teach subjects to all learning styles, not just one. In my classes, I use various tools and techniques to accomplish this task.

Just a little personal information: On June 1st, 2022 I had a kidney transplant and my amazing husband was my donor. During the summer of 2022, I have my schedule posted, but please bare with me as I navigate through many appointments. I feel better than I have felt in years.
