In this interactive lesson, we learn the history behind french toast, while we make it from start to finish. The students will observe me on each step and then they will complete each step on their own. We will learn why we are using the ingredients we are using. We will also learn how we could make this dish differently. Once we have completed our dish, we will learn how we can preserve these in the refrigerator or freezer to be used later. 8 slices thick bread 4 eggs 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoon sugar (I use brown sugar but white sugar is fine too) 1 teaspoon vanilla ½ teaspoon cinnamon pinch salt butter Syrup, honey, or fruit for topping Mixing bowl Whisk Frying pan or griddle Turner to flip the french toasts
