Class Experience
This course is a beginner level introduction into conversational Spanish! No prior knowledge of the Spanish language is necessary! Students will practice greeting each other in Spanish, asking and answering each other's names, discussing how they are feeling today, where they are from, and their age. Students will also use their favorite animal, doll, action figure, or puppet to speak in the target language. Students will learn to sing the alphabet song in Spanish and will be introduced to...
The goal of this class is to introduce students to conversational Spanish at a beginner level. Students will learn to use greetings, ask and answer names, discuss how they are feeling today, talk about where they are from, their age, and say farewell. Students will use their favorite animal, doll, Lego figurine, action figure, or puppet that they bring to class to speak in the target language. Students will also learn to sing the alphabet song in Spanish and be introduced to numbers 1-10. Fun!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. I taught Spanish at a traditional public middle school for 11 years and at a traditional public high school for 3 years. Currently, I am the administrative supervisor and instructional leader of the World Languages Department at a traditional public high school. I have experience teaching all core content areas at the elementary level in a traditional school classroom, as well as in a bilingual classroom.

The PDF reference sheet will be made available in the classroom before the live class. This sheet will also help you review and practice the skills you learn in this class once the course is finished!
