Class Experience
Each class will present instruction to create new beading projects for students! (Supplies, listed below, need to be purchased individually by each learner prior to class). Students will interact with other learners and the instructor each week through questions given during the class and discussions posted in the Outschool Classroom. Students will also be asked to post a picture of their creation to the Classroom each week and will receive feedback from the instructor. - Week 1: Make stretch bracelets -Week 2: Construct dangle earrings -Week 3: Create a sun catcher -Week 4: Bead a necklace Every class will include instruction in beading basics such as: - color and pattern design - tying and tucking a knot - using bead tools correctly - looping eye hooks - attaching jump rings - wire twisting - how to create and use jump rings - attaching lobster clips - using a bead tray - measuring successfully - bead design - choosing a centerpiece - where to source beads - creating jewelry sets - distribution of project ideas Each week, students will interact using the Outschool Classroom to share their projects, ideas and questions with the instructor and other class participants. The instructor will provide personal feedback to each student.

Lots of beads! Craft stores, Walmart, Amazon, thrift stores and your own jewelry box are great places to source beads. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I'm Brooke Minkel and have been teaching children and adults for almost 20 years! I have a teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado and have taught everything from preschool to drama for all ages to life skills for teens to parenting classes for adults. I love to teach and I love to learn! I try to sneak in social-emotional intelligence, growth mindset and mindfulness skills into every lesson. I live in Colorful Colorado with my two daughters, husband and 2 cats.
