In this one-time class, students will learn some of the basics of ballet, and learn a short fun ballet dance!
Class Experience
Are you ready to start learning how to dance like a ballerina? This one-time class is a great opportunity to get a taste of what ballet is like, and how fun dance can be. Together we will start learning the basics of ballet, how to apply these skills in ballet class, and have fun playing dance games throughout class! During this class, we will learn some of the basics of ballet. Class will start with a follow-along center ballet barre warm-up/stretch, and progress to more full-body...
Students will learn and practice some common basic ballet steps and stretches. During class, we will apply these new skills during some fun dance games and exercises. At the end of class, we will put some of these ballet steps together and learn a short dance. Students will also be exposed to, and learn the general structure and etiquette of ballet class.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Additionally, I have over 3 years of in-person and virtual teaching experience.

0Students should dress in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in for this class. Wearing ballet shoes and ballet attire is encouraged for this class, but not required!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
For this ballet class, parents should assure that their student takes class in a safe space that has enough room for them to move and dance in without harming themselves. Ballet shoes are very beneficial to wear during class, but not required. Students can take this class barefoot, as long as they are dancing on a safe surface. Having some water close by is also a great idea, as we will be physically active throughout the class.
