CLASS EXPERIENCE

In this baby ballerina class, for our littlest learners, we will learn the basics of ballet. We will start with a little stretch, getting our bodies warmed and ready to work with some flexing and pointing of our little toes.

Next, we will move on to learning our five positions. We will go through all of our five positions making sure our feet and arms are in the right place. From there, we will go on to basic ballet skills such as plies, tendus, and port de bras. Covering our core ballet techniques so your little dancer is able to build upon a proper foundation.

With each passing week, we will add to our knowledge of ballet basics and have so much fun doing so!

EXPECTATIONS FOR SOUND QUALITY AND MUTING

My desire is to have all students unmuted for the entire class. It creates an ease of interacting. In order for this to take place, it is important to have your student situated in a quiet place that is free from background noises such as televisions, radios, phone calls, or conversations.

As the teacher, there are times that I will need to use the mute function. If a student has background noise that may be distracting to other students, I will let the student know that they are being muted to help the sound quality.

I realize that there are times when you may need to mute your own child for privacy reasons or due to unavoidable background noise, so please feel free to use your discretion in these circumstances. Also, please show your child how to unmute him/herself when asked to do so.

Working together, we can attain great sound quality for all the students!

Supply List
Although it is not required for this class, as a matter of beginning the discipline of ballet, the following things are encouraged:
Tights, Leotard, and Hair in a Bun.
However, the following are required,
Baller slippers, an open area with room for movement, preferably a 4x4 open space, a water bottle if needed, and hair pulled out of face for proper movement.
Proper stretching is important to prevent injuring the body. Although we will start class with a brief stretch, please make sure your little dancer stretched on their own before class begins, in order to prevent injury.
