We will discuss the basics of baking: accurate measuring, how to choose ingredients, and baking techniques. This is a hands on and participation based class! It is designed to be fun and interactive. Students will learn to measure ingredients accurately. Students will learn to following a recipe and steps in the correct order. Students will learn when cookies are finished baking
Recipes will be supplied before each weekly class. Some classes will require a mixer Some recipes will include the following ingredients, but not limited to: flour cocoa sugar butter chocolate chips baking soda baking powder shortening apples cinnamon brown sugar milk vinegar vanilla
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental supervision recommended for oven use and selecting correct tools
