👋Welcome to this beginner ASL course for learners ages 9-14! This is an introductory beginner class. No prior ASL knowledge needed. We will learn a different set of basics each week. The phrases that will be introduced will be phrases useful in everyday social situations. Each week, each learner will have ample time to learn and practice the signs. I love learning and teaching ASL! I have taken 3 university-level ASL courses and love learning new signs and all about the deaf community and deaf culture. I also have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Studies with over 9 years of experience working with children both online and in-person from infant to high-school-age children. I strive to create engaging, personal, and interactive lessons by incorporating movement, songs, stories, games, and manipulatives into my classes and fostering a learning environment that makes learning fun for everyone!
