Students will learn how to make a beautiful monochromatic mountain painting. They will learn to draw simple mountain shapes and how to show a far away perspective. Also one will learn the effects of adding white or black paint to a strong color. Also they will learn when to paint with a small paintbrush and when to use a large one. The student will follow me step by step. At the end students will have a chance to see others paintings and tell something about their own. No prior experience is needed. Students will need acrylic paint with colors black, white, and either blue, green, or purple.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to mix paint colors, which ones are strong and which ones are weak, and how to draw a simple mountain sketch.

Parental Guidance
Acrylic paint can stain clothes, so please take proper precautions such as wearing old clothes, an apron , and/or covering the table or work area.
Please face the camera on the students artwork.
Supply List
Supplies Needed: -pencil -canvas 9" x 12" or Bristol board 9" x 12" or similar size -acrylic paint- black, white, and one other color such as blue, green, purple -paint brushes- at least one large (flat 1/2 " to 1") and one small (1/8" to 1/4") -plastic cup with water half full -paper plate -paper towels -newspaper, plastic tablecloth or paper to go under the painting -clothes one can get dirty *Walmart has Bristol Board $10 for 15 sheets Applebarrel brand paint for $1 each 4 pack paintbrushes $3

I have a degree in fine arts from Georgia Southwestern State University with a concentration in painting. I have made and sold many paintings. I also have several years teaching experience for ages 6-18 .
