Description

Class Experience

Over eight weeks, we will learn your ABCs and Number signs. In addition, we will learn essential words such as foods, people, pronouns, sports, recreation, hobbies, animals, nature, colors, thoughts, and emotions; we will also be using these in basic sentences.
We will be working on Expective skills, which use the language of signs and fingerspelling to express oneself, and Receptive Skills, which are understanding sign language and fingerspelling spoken by another.

We will also be working on both the visual and printed signs.

Get your hands ready to learn a beautiful language.
I have been teaching American Sign Language for over 15 years. I worked in the Deaf community for ten years. I teach a music and movement program in my local area and teach American Signs at different Preschools and private kindergartens in my local area. We use signs to communicate as my daughter, who is Hard of Hearing, and an Outschool teacher. My teaching style is to make learning fun and keep learning.

No high sensitive information- risk topic.
Each week the learner will either answer questions from the video or video themselves doing basic signs.
Your hands will be the only supplies you will need!
Informal Assesment
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
No live meetings, flexible to watch videos and answer or video answer each week!
