In this 4-week Beginner A Gymnastics Course, gymnasts will improve upon their strength and flexibility in a relaxed and flexible environment, while learning fundamental gymnastics skills for future progression within the sport.

Description

Class Experience

Beginner gymnasts will master fundamental beginning skills necessary for progression within the sport of Gymnastics! 
As a gymnast for 9 years, gymnastics coach for 7 years, and a certified personal trainer, I love sharing my passion for health, fitness, and gymnastics with all my students!
Homework in this class will be completed independently (with parental guidance), and will consist of picture uploads to check off weekly conditioning lists, video uploads demonstrating skills, online quizzes, and technique critique discussion posts. Homework should take approximately 1 hour per week.
Students should wear moveable athletic-wear in order to fully engage in each activity. 

They should also have a safe space to practice gymnastics, free of any obstacles, alongside a clear wall nearby for handstand progressions.

A gymnastics mat, yoga mat, rug, or soft surface should be available for performing tumbling skills. 

A water bottle is also advised. 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner will record themselves completing the challenge of the week, and upload it to the classroom page. From here, I will give the gymnast constructive feedback and encouragement on how to best perfect their skills.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
While skills in this class are for beginners, parental guidance is necessary, as any sort of physical activity can be dangerous, and could potentially result in injury.
