ARE YOU READY TO BLEND LIKE A BOSS? In this one-time class, students will review alphabet sounds, learn about consonants and vowels, and practice blending basic phonics words with the CVC pattern. We will start by going over the 21 consonants and 5 short vowels of the alphabet and learn what exactly makes them special. Here's a hint, consonants make 1 sound and vowels make 2 (short and long)! During this review students will be chanting out the letters and sounds to get ready for blending....

Students will learn what makes letters special and how to blend CVC word by letter-sound recognition.
I have a Multi-Subject credential and have taught phonics to k-2 graders for 8 years in the public school classroom.
Students will want a whiteboard and marker OR paper pencil to participate in the activity.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
