Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Art Journaling will help students be better at expressing themselves through words and pictures. This class encourages imagination and play to sort through our memories, emotions, and feelings of the day to put them onto paper. We'll learn a variety of art techniques and introduce different mediums, as well as fun writing prompts to encourage students to write AND draw!
Miss J has been working with and teaching children for over a decade, in addition to being a professional artist in her own right. Her experience includes teaching private art lessons, group painting classes, watercolor classes, and art journaling classes. Miss J is also a professional artist and children's entertainer specializing in professional face painting and balloon twisting. Part of why Miss J is such a highly sought after children's entertainer is because of her unique ability to entertain children and create a joyous, fun and open atmosphere while also treating them with respect. Miss J's experience is the perfect blend for children's art classes and her college studies were in fine arts and education.
Art Journaling doesn't have to end with class. Learners are encouraged to continue for as long as they want, as often as they'd like!
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Different techniques may be demonstrated during class. Some classes may use scissors to craft our art journaling pieces. Scissors should be provided and used at parents' discretion.
