I will show them how to tune a guitar, with and without a tuner. They will also learn how to take care of their guitar. I encourage students to bring their guitar to class, if they have one. I have been a musician for over 25 years, with the main instruments I play being acoustic guitar, classical guitar, and bass guitar. I even grow out the nails on my thumb and first three fingers on my right hand so that I can play traditional classical guitar and fingerpicking on acoustic guitar. My experience: -played bass guitar on my sister's album when she was with a record label -played all three instruments in many different bands and performances -taught many students, including my own children -I have many of my own instruments that I tune and maintain on a regular basis -perform at nursing homes and assisted living facilities with my family
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
