In this lesson we will learn where bees live, what honey bees use to build their hive, how honey bees communicate, types of honey bees and what their jobs are, beekeepers, and the Colony Collapse Disorder. We will look at pictures as we discuss each of these topics. The class will be interactive. The students will be able to use the annotation tool to draw on the screen in matching games and other activities to show understanding. The learner will not require any previous knowledge about bees.
Students will walk away from class with a basic understanding of bees, how they work together in their hive, and how they play an important role in our world.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
