A 20 minute gentle bedtime yoga class followed by a 10 minute story meditation.

Class experience

I have been studying yoga and meditation for 38 years and have studied teaching yoga to children.
As a teacher I have been writing stories for students in and out of the classroom for 16+ years.  I have taken numerous story writing and story telling classes to update my skills and techniques, the most recent in April 2023.
Please have a mat for yoga or a carpeted room if no mat is available.  A pillow (or bolster) and blanket could be used for mediation story at the end (it is comfortable for the child to have a blanket over his/her body during the meditation but not necessary).  Children should be in comfortable clothes (no tight jeans or shorts that will restrict movement) and barefoot so they are able to move freely.  Some classes may include larger movements, such as wide arm swings (as if they are elephants moving their trunks) so wide space and non-restrictive clothes are needed.
Students will need space around them to move around, enough to be able to lie down and spread their arms around them without hitting anything.  Please make sure any equipment around the area is moved so nothing is knocked over during the movement session.
No prior experience with yoga or meditation is necessary.  These are very gentle movements that flow and I am able to adjust the movements to suit the needs of the children in the class.
