Class Experience

What a busy day of learning and playing! Let's all get ready for bed. Go put on your favorite PJs and wrap yourself up in a soft, cozy blanket with a treasured stuffed animal. Students will listen to soft relaxing music as they hear a different story each night. 

First, we will begin by introducing ourselves and our stuffed animals. Then, we will start our story time. Students will learn the different parts of the book (the front, back, spine, title, illustrations). Afterwards, we will have...

--> Students will practice their public speaking skills by introducing themselves.
--> Students will exercise their listening skills during story time. 
--> Students will be able to identify the different parts of a book (the front, back, spine, title, illustrations, etc).
--> Students will identify facts (when retelling parts of the story) and opinions (when sharing their feelings on the book).

👩‍🎓 I currently hold a Florida certification in Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade. I have 8 years of public school teaching experience in early elementary.

Your homework is to get a good night's sleep after a relaxing story!

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
