In this ongoing class meeting once a week, for 40 minutes, students will engage in self-discovery through questioning. They are learning more about themselves and managing their stressors to become more positive. Each week we will do an introduction and learn how to check in with ourselves. At the beginning of each class, learners will explore how to do a body and mind scan. Students will learn various techniques and exercises to deal with frustration, stress, and anxiety. They will learn visualization, breathing exercises, and field psychology exercises. These tips and tricks help start the journey to work through anxiety and stress experienced in everyday life. Topics may include and yet are not limited to: Setting an Intention, Good Stress/Bad Stress, Mind-Body Connection, Thinking Habits, Positive Self-talk. Taking Action, and How to Reset, Grit, and Resiliency.
Learning Goals
Students will get to know themselves better and learn to self-regulate to become more positive. They will complete the course and know at least two breathing techniques and two or three other strategies that work for them specifically to deal with frustration and stress in their daily life.

Journal to record progress, pen/pencil and water for during class.

This is a class that I have taught with groups in person. I have experienced anxiety myself, worked through it with my own children, and supported students I have worked with through these challenges. I am a life coach and have taken many courses, please see below. My background is unique in that I have experiences in the public school system, as a life coach, taken a variety of Professional Development courses on this subject and am working through my Social Work degree.
