Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how -to confidently write any type of essay -use a checklist to ensure they are using the taught structure - write confidently for any class subject
I privately teach writing skills to middle school through high school students and the teaching style I use has been developed and honed over a span of 22 years. All my 5 children have used these same skills to gain admission into their colleges of choice. Four of them are now graduates with the fifth currently in his 2nd year. I also teach this same writing curriculum to adult (post graduate) students.
This homework is optional but to get the most out of this class I would like to see up to 10 sentence examples using the newly acquired skill.
Your child will need a dedicated notebook for this class. I will give access via google docs to reference sheets for different parts of speech introduced.
A learner's progress will be informally assessed at the end of the class with recommendations for the next course of action.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
