During this class your child will learn high frequency words and apply them to reading in text. We will also focus on comprehension questions as well as phonics when they come up in our story. The story is titled "He runs" by Ned Jensen. This book will focus on the high frequency words: he/to/the. I will start out by setting your child up for success with practicing some high frequency words that they will see in the story. We will then get our brains sparked by a question that relates to what we are reading. We will then apply our skills to learning how to read in a story. This will allow for your child to start the beginning stages of becoming a Rockstar reader!

Students should have a white board and marker or paper pencil ready to go for this lesson.

My name is Ms. Tia! I have been a certified classroom teacher for 12 years. This is my 10th year in kindergarten and I love it! I have a special education degree as well as training in math and guided reading. I believe every child can learn in an environment set up for success. I think it is important to keep routine, actions and energy to a classroom.
I am certified in dyslexia, science of reading as well as LETRS. My passion is loving on the littles and watching their brains grow!
