Class Experience

What Will Be Taught? 
It will be a long course, I am well aware. If you stick with it either you will have a huge foundation on what becoming a screenwriter is. Whether that means you have a huge leg up if you go to school. Or do what some people do and just learn, save your money and then sell to producers. You don't need a degree for a producer to like your work. 

We plan on meeting two times a week for five weeks so ten classes in total. Here will be the breakdown.

Class 1: Screenplay &...

In a few words the students will learn almost everything it takes to write and sell their first screenplay. From building characters, to plot lines, and the climax. The students can also use that knowledge to write a novel because some of the lessons transfer over. They can use that knowledge to either go attack the industry themselves or have a leg up when they go to film school.

Homework will be simple writing exercises completely individually. Homework for each class should only take about an hour.

Will need a screenwriting software that will be discussed in the portal before the class starts. As well anything that the student may use to take notes. Something like Microsoft or google docs or a big notebook.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Although grades aren't everything I will be handing out grades for participation in class as well as for the homework on a scale of 0-100%.

1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
