Class Experience

In this 4 weeks program, children between 9 and 13 will develop their observation skills and creativity through the creation of video clips. They will learn concepts and watch at hands-on examples related to camera movements, shots and edition.
For this class we will use a camera, as well as some free movie editing apps. Basic narrative concepts will be developed throughout the classes. At the end, everyone will have the chance to proudly show their work, covering all the points presented before. This is a small group for 3 to 4 students. They will interact with the teacher and the other students by producing and showing their work after every new concept, by asking questions and sharing their ideas.
To join this class, children will need basic writing skills, a digital camera and a device where to make the edition.

Program:
Week 1: Choosing a topic, learning about film production, creating a character.
Week 2: Writing a story, learning about angles, shots and camera movements.
Week 3: Storyboard, composition. Start filming.
Week 4: Choosing and learning about editing apps. Sharing students work.
