This course makes learning fun and engaging to help students quickly improve their animal science knowledge. During this course, we will discuss the differences between the four main animal groups: mammals, reptiles, fish, and birds. By the end of this 5-week course, students will be expected to be able to name the four animal groups and at least three characteristics of each one. Students will also be asked what their favorite animal is, what animal group it is a part of, and how they know.
Please be sure the student brings a pencil, 4 colored markers/crayons/pencils, and at least one sheet of paper to class. Because this is multi-day course, the information learned in previous classes will be mentioned in subsequent classes so it will be helpful for the student to have notes to reference.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
