Welcome to a world of adventure and exploration in this reading event - Becoming a Superstar Reader class! Interactive read-alouds are a planned and purposeful read-aloud that help make books and concepts come to life for children. This entertaining and thought-provoking course is designed to encourage your child to think deeper as the focus is on listening comprehension. I will model the role for an ideal reader by using think-alouds while I read and demonstrate comprehension strategies for making inferences and explanations, and teach vocabulary and concepts.

Your child will actively engage in listening and analytic talking about the text throughout the duration to improve overall reading comprehension. The books selected will be based on the season of the year and/or current holidays. It's also a great opportunity for students to engage in meaningful social interactions around books!
