In this one-time workshop, students will learn the basics of using the graphic art program, Procreate. Procreate is a powerful program that makes the process of creating amazing art relatively easy...if you know how to use it. Students will learn to use these tools through discussion, experimentation, and side-by-side learning (they follow along with me on their own iPads). By the end of the lesson, students should be able to use procreate on a basic level. From there - the only limitation is...
Hi there. I am a homeschooling mom of five kids, ranging in age from ten to nineteen. We are diving into our 7th year of homeschooling and we love it. I have a passion for both education and creativity and I love combining the two whenever I can. When I'm not teaching (my kids or someone else's), I run a business based purely on creativity and art. Traveling (and 8 years of formal classes) gave me a handle on the Spanish language. I have a background in general education from 19 years of combined experience teaching in public and charter school settings, as well as tutoring one on one, ESL, and running various camps and activities. My experience ranges from childcare (infant) age all the way through high school age and includes work with neurodiverse and special needs students, as well as students with mental health issues. I have a passion for, and educational background in Graphic Art/Design, however, my degrees are AA in Liberal Studies and a BA in General Studies with a concentration in Psychology. I am also certified in TESOL and Art Therapy.
This class requires the use of an iPad and Apple Pencil, separately from the device used to stream the class. The student will also need to download the Procreate app from the Apple Store. The cost for the app is $9.99. This price includes all updates.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to use their iPad, separately from the device they are taking the class on. Procreate is not an online app, it is an art app, so as long as your learner is not doing other things during class, there should be no concern for outside conversation with strangers.
