US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this hands-on class, learners will have a quick lesson on fossils, the job of a paleontologist, and jump right into putting their paleontology skills into practice! Using a chocolate chip cookie and a toothpick, students will mimic the job of a paleontologist and dig "bones" out of a "rock!" Students will be able to interact with the teacher and other learners throughout the course, express their findings as they dig up their fossils, and have lots of fun while learning. The learner will be able to volunteer their experience with guided questions after their excavation. This is a hands-on project that is sure to capture your learner's attention and get them excited about science, fossils, paleontology, and dinosaurs. 3 simple materials (chocolate chip cookie, toothpick, napkin) needed. All students welcome, as all learning needs and ages are targeted.
