Become a Nursing Detective!

Hello! My name is Barbara Biltz. I am so excited with the opportunity to teach for Outschool! I have been a registered nurse for 30 years. After earning my Master of Science Degree in 2006  I left the bedside and began teaching nursing students. I have taught in the classroom, clinical laboratory, and hospital setting. My journey teaching children began 3 years ago when I started teaching English to children across the globe. I would love the opportunity to blend my knowledge of nursing and love of teaching children together to teach your child. I have developed several beginning "my body" type courses which are great for the curious minded.  I am a pet enthusiast and would love to talk about our pets! I also consider myself an artist in-training! I believe learning should be fun and engaging. We know children retain more when learning is so engaging they have to share it with others and that is my hope that your child will tell you about class! I have 2 big dogs and 1 cat, Gracie, Patty and Tigger! I also worked as a cruise ship nurse for Carnival Cruise Lines! That was a true learning experience!  I have TESOL VIPKid foundational and Advanced certifications as well as the 120hours TESOL cetification. Thank you for listening and I hope to see you in the classroom!
