Class Experience
Hi! Thank you for checking out my class! I am so excited that you are here! I am a certified occupational therapy assistant and work with children daily on their fine motor and handwriting skills to increase their academic success. In this class your child will learn all of the basic writing mechanics such as where to start at the margin, staying on the lines, proper letter formation, sizing, spacing, etc! All of this will be broken down based on your learners current handwriting level...
Your student learn the following: -Starting and ending sentences, appropriately using the margins -Capitalization and punctuation -Remaining on lines and within given boundaries -Appropriate letter formation -Proper spacing between letters and words -Pencil grasp adaptations (if needed)
Once registered for the class, you will receive a handout with hand strengthening exercises for your daily use at home as well as highlighted lined paper that we will use for the class. You may print as many as you would like to also utilize it at home!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
