Happy New Year! This one-time class is a great way to get learners to self-reflect as well as practice their writing skills! In this class, learners will create a poster and reflect on the last year by writing down things they did well or enjoyed and things they could have done better or wished were better. Then, they will reflect on the year to come by writing things they are looking forward to in the new year as well as things they want to work on. Once the chart is complete, they will reflect on their notes to come up with "ONE WORD" to represent the coming year. They will write in a complete sentence the word they chose and why to share with the class. This type of self-reflection can be very impactful as the year goes on and learners remember their words and goals. Writing practice is an added bonus!
