Class Experience

Students will be introduced to an award-winning work of literature and hopefully come to appreciate it more through the discussion and literary study of the book.
Before each class, learners will be asked to read several chapters so that they'll be prepared to participate in the class discussion. Depending on the learner's reading speed, approximately 2 hours of reading will likely be necessary between classes in order to keep up with the class.
Students will need to acquire a copy of the book Because of Winn-Dixie (by Kate DiCamillo). It can be checked out from a local public library or purchased affordably in either print or e-book format on sites such as Amazon.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
