Bees bees bees! That's right I'll say it again BEES. In this one time class students will learn about the important role that our Honeybees have in our environment/world. Bees are becoming an endangered species so I will teach you what our beautiful bees do to make us that delicious sweet natural honey we usually have stored in our kitchen cupboards. They have been providing us with honey as far back as 8,000 years. 

Bees are under threat due to pesticides, pollution and climate changes, so it's important to know how important bees are to us because without them we wouldn't have our fruits and vegetables!
Students will be taken through informative, stimulating animated slideshows to ignite their understanding of Honeybees, along with Q&A to re-affirm understanding in a fun style! Factual information will be provided to them about bees and I will encourage learners to read short texts to help build with public reading interaction and confidence. They will also watch a short Youtube video clip on how bees collect honey as well as a catchy fun bee song. They will be taught the terminolgy for bee description like Pollinate, Nectar etc to aid their understanding of bees more fluently through word repetition.

There is no experience or prior knowledge needed for this class. Additionally, there will be optional printable fun activity sheets during or outside of class for extra learning, as well as giving you parents a little extra ME-TIME. I welcome all to my class, see you soon! Teacher Zarina.
