In this private class, we will work on common math concepts using games and other activities. We will meet 2 times a week.

Class experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.
  • Learners will learn number recognition, pattern awareness, and practice writing numbers. They will learn the number bonds to make 10 (2+8, 3+7, etc). They will learn double numbers (up to double 10). Learners will take turns to help their team beat the teacher. They will be good sportsmen no matter if they win or don't win.
I have always loved math and working with numbers. My father was a self-proclaimed math magician (a magician who used math as the solution to his magic tricks). He instilled in me a love for numbers and patterns. I hope to help others have the same perspective.

I taught Kindergarten in a private school for 5 years and used manipulatives to help teach math.
Learners should be able to count 1-10.
They should name numbers by sight. For example: What is this? It is an 8.
We may need these items in any class:
-playing cards (remove face cards) - these can be poker cards, uno cards, flashcards, etc
-whiteboard pen

Any special printouts will be attached in the classroom before class begins.

I love looking around me and asking questions. "What if....?" Science is full of "what if" questions. Come explore simple science experiments with me. Most of the items can be found around your home or easily found at the store. I also have a love...
