"Beat the Teacher"-Multiplication Fact Strategies for 6's, 7's, 8's and 9's
This class provides students with a research based method of breaking down basic multiplication facts. Students use the multiplication facts they know to solve the harder ones. Then, they try and beat the teacher in a multiplication race ! Less reliance on times tables and this will lead them to memorize the facts after they solve them!

This class is extremely engaging because students are nonstop, practicing multiplication facts by practicing this new strategy. My strategies teach students how to solve and remember multiplication facts by using the “friendly facts” strategy. I will model and guide students to solve the tougher multiplication facts (6's, 7's, 8's and 9's). Then students get to "race the teacher" and try to beat me in solving multiplication facts. So your child will leave my class with a strategy to solve multiplication facts but also the opportunity to retain and memorize multiplication math facts....and possibly BEAT THE TEACHER!

*dry-erase board and marker *index cards or cut up paper to make flash cards (optional) you can make them on your own time as well

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
