Our 1:1 Test Prep & Anxiety Coaching program is designed to help students excel in their exams while managing the emotional challenges that come with high-stakes testing. Led by an experienced educator, this program starts with two 50-minute sessions to assess individual needs, followed by a model test to identify specific areas of improvement. This approach helps demystify the test-taking process, making the actual test day less intimidating. Testing anxiety often stems from a strong desire to perform well and a fear of being underprepared. Our sessions focus on reducing this anxiety by familiarizing students with the test format, teaching effective test-taking strategies, and emphasizing time management. We also work on reshaping the perception of tests, helping students understand that exams are just one part of the educational journey, thereby lowering the emotional stakes. Please note that this program typically requires 4+ sessions to achieve the best results. This duration allows for a thorough and personalized approach, addressing both confidence and test-taking skills. Parents should be aware that while progress can be seen early on, consistent effort over multiple sessions is crucial for significant improvement. These sessions are 100% customized to a learner’s needs, so our weekly objectives will vary a bit. The first two sessions are typically dedicated to determining the root causes of the test anxiety in order to create a customized plan moving forward.

Hannah (she/they) With a healthy amount of life experience and a passion for helping others succeed, Hannah is a UNT graduate with a triple focus in English, Japanese, and Government who has learned the meaning of persistence! A standardized testing natural and English whiz, she spent a year with Austin ISD teaching the English portion of the STAAR exam to ESL students. She also took responsibility for a weekly after school art class with the same students. Along the way, she's worn many hats - retail, restaurants, hospitality, clerical work, and deliveries. Currently, along with SAT and ACT test tutoring, she is an artist, writer, and all-around nerd, and she currently seeks to expand her private illustration business alongside her performing career. In her spare time, she plays video games, draws her own comics, sews her own clothes, and raids her local public library. She does improv comedy and is teaching herself how to play the ukulele and the melodica. Fluent in Japanese, Hannah spent months traveling through Japan. "Ask me, and I've probably done it!"
Hannah has specialized in tutoring students for the SAT and ACT since 2017. Over time, she has broadened her expertise to cover general academic teaching and the ISEE/SSAT, ensuring a comprehensive and versatile approach to student success.
