Class experience
US Grade 2 - 5
Younger students will learn all about bears through interactive and creative learning methods. Students will learn about bears, their habitat, eating habits and family life. A focus will be on conservation. Students will be delve into video, handouts, creative options and multimedia presentations that are all guided by the teacher. At the end of the class students will learn how to draw a cute bear!
Students will learn all about bears including the anatomy, feeding, behavior, habitat and bear family life both in the wild and also in refuges and zoos. Conservation is stressed throughout the course.
I've worked with animals all of my life and currently house over 32 animals on my property. I have lived with bears on my rural property in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Homework Offered
There is no formal homework, but a printable, coloring work sheet will allow the learner to review what they have learned, read exciting facts about Bears in which they can quiz their parents and family about.Assessments Offered

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will discuss prey and predators and discuss how bears eat. We will also discuss the problem of bear captivity and habitat loss. Both of these subjects may be sensitive to younger learners.
