In this one time class we will explore many common questions that may go along with bearded dragon ownership, as well as present information on proper keeping of your pet!

During the first few minutes of the lesson the students will be given background information on bearded dragons. The teacher will then present a slide show that answers 4 common questions/potential problems that could come with owning a bearded dragon. The teacher will then give students an opportunity to ask any questions that they may have about bearded dragon care & keeping. Students will be encouraged to share any ideas/tips that they may have in regards to another students questions about bearded dragons. During this lesson conversation and discussion will be highly encouraged, as many student may have experiences that classmates can relate to. Student should have questions prepared to ask during class. Dragon ownership is NOT REQUIRED! This would be a great class for prospective pet owners! Class will be kept at 10 students to allow participation.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to talk about and participate in discussion relating to 4 popular questions about bearded dragon care: 1. How do I set up a habitat for my dragon? 2. What do I feed my dragon/Why won't it eat? 3. How do I tell if my dragon is a boy or a girl? 4. What are some common health problems a dragon may have?

Parental Guidance
We will be looking at how to tell if bearded dragons are male or female.

I have 5 bearded dragons in my home and have been passionate about sharing knowledge on reptiles for many years! I have a very popular basic information class on Bearded Dragons on Outschool. I have developed this lesson after many of my students begged for more precise and detailed help with bearded dragon care and keeping.
