Beading for Bracelets

One day beginner's beading class. Learners will be taught about beads and elastic and the use of patterns. We will discuss how to hide the knot in the elastic and they will learn to tie off a bracelet properly.

Description

Class Experience

I will be teaching beading using elastic.  I will show the learners types, different sizes, styles of beads and the elastic they will use. Learners are encouraged to engage in conversation with me and the other learners.  We will share the beads we have chosen and the style we chose.  I will help learners understand how to use spacer beads in their jewelry and tie their pieces properly. This class is taught in English.

Learners will be able to create their own beaded jewelry using elastic.

1. Beads of all sizes, shapes, and/or material. Large enough holes to fit elastic that is .8mm or 1mm 
2. Elastic from a craft store .8mm or 1mm 
3. Scissors or small clipper
4. Small water bottle, full (wrist size) or someone's wrist to practice the tying method at the end of class.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
