Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
We will learn how to read a beading diagram and be able to count out the required numbers of beads. We will understand the ladder stitch in beading, and understand that beading is both a 2 dimensional and a 3 dimensional art We will be able to think about modifying the pattern we used to create other creatures.
*pony beads in 3 colors: 30 color A, 13 color B, and 2 color C. If you have lots of beads at home, learners can decide as they go!
*5' length of 1mm or 2mm satin beading cord. (Elastic cord is NOT good for this project. Yarn is difficult to thread through the beads. Cotton floss is very hard to use as well. Please try to get the 1mm satin beading cord.)
*scissors, to cut the cord at the end
*clear office tape or masking tape, to make aglets at the ends of the cord for easier threading. This is optional if you think the cord you have will be tricky to stuff through the pony beads. We will talk about this in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
