Description
Class Experience
**Although instructor will demonstrate audio editing using iMovie, any editing software can be used** This fun, creative class will be hands-on, beginning with a behind-the-scenes look at the job of foley artists and sound mixers. Then, instructor demonstration of common household items to achieve desired sound effects, and finally audio editing tools to further adapt and manipulate those sounds to fit video footage (teacher-provided, or student's own footage). Mini "exploration"...
This class is taught in English.
At the end of three classes, students will have recorded, edited, and produced their own foley, added in to their own videos and/or professional background videos acquired through creative commons licensed libraries.
I have been teaching iMovie for nearly 15 years, and my middle school students frequently win local and state-wide film competitions, largely attributed to their skillful use of many of iMovie's tools that take their student films to much more mature, advanced levels that rival their peers.
