Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
This course will review algebra and geometry topics needed for success in Precalculus, as well as preview how they will be applied in Precalculus. Students must have completed courses in both Algebra 2 and Geometry (or Integrated Math 3) prior to enrolling in this class.

Week 1 will cover algebra topics including:
- graphs and transformations of functions
- compositions of functions
- inverses.
Week 2 will cover geometry topics including:
- special right triangles
- basic trigonometry
- vectors.
Since math courses with the same name do not all cover the same material across different schools and states, it is possible that some students do not have prior experience in some of these topics, and that is completely fine. However, most of the topics should be familiar to the enrolled learner.

I will lead the class with PowerPoint slides, but learners are expected to be active participants in the discussion and solutions of the problems. Each class will begin with an overview of vocabulary and concepts, followed by example problems. We will go over those problems as a group with student input. Due to the interactive nature of the class, all students should keep their cameras on for the duration of the class.

The outline of the PowerPoint slides will be posted to the classroom prior to each class. This will allow students to follow along more easily without having to copy down all of the notes and problems.
