Come join this girls-only class to learn just what mindfulness is in a safe and judgment-free environment. Together, we will learn what it means to be mindful and how being mindful can help us in our daily lives. We will take note of our bodies, feelings and senses at the beginning of class. Next, we will practice a few mindfulness activities together. The girls will have a chance to observe how their bodies and minds react to these mindfulness activities. Students will learn what it means to be mindful. Students will participate in several mindfulness activities. Students will notice the changes in their body and mind before, during and after the mindfulness activities. Students will make a list of ways that they can be mindful to use outside of class. Students will learn times that they can set aside to be mindful each day.
I had the privilege of being a girls' run club coach for many years. As such, I underwent training that focused on teaching young girls different life and social skills. I look forward to continuing to use my training in this space.
