Class Experience
This is an ongoing class that will meet once a week. In this course, students will be writing a story. Each week will have a different story theme. The classes in this course do not build on each other. Students may join any week to enjoy writing the story for that week. During each class, students will be presented with a variety of options for their story. Students will be choosing a character, setting, and problem for their story. They will fill out a graphic organizer on the parts of...
The learning goal of this course is to give learners an opportunity to be creative in their writing. By the end of each class, students will have a complete story written.
There is no homework. If students do not complete their story in class, they may write the rest of their story after class.
Students will need the following materials for each class: - Graphic Organizer (This will be posted in our classroom before each class.) - Pencil - Notebook or Writing Paper - Crayons (These are optional.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will be checking in with each student during class to determine each student's progress. I will provide students with feedback on their writing.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
