Class Experience

What happens to you when you are called on to speak? Do you become nervous or frightened, does your mind go blank, do you feel self-conscious and have trouble thinking clearly? You are not alone! For most of us, this is a common response. In this class, we will explore the reasons why this happens and how we can overcome fear and harness that nervous energy.
In this Lesson:
- We will open with introductions and discuss the emotions that we are experiencing in that moment.

Learners will gain a better understanding of the importance of developing courage and confidence, what fear is and how to manage it, and how to be better prepared so that they have a more successful outcome.

I have worked with children as a Children's Ministry Director for over 8 years training them to perform on stage to recite scripture, pray, sing, and participate in plays and pageants. I also have 6 years of experience teaching presentation skills to children ages 6 through 12 in homeschool co-op classes. I studied and trained with Dale Carnegie's books and courses and used his expertise to develop curricula for children.

A one-page handout, to be used in class, will be provided for download at least 24 hours before class time.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Canva

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
