Do you have a dinosaur lover in your house? Join us as we hunt for clues on how the largest of dinosaurs, the theropods, got their names. We will discuss where different dinosaurs were discovered, what they looked like, and how that helped scientists give them their special names. In class, participants will be able to discuss what makes their favorite dinosaurs so special. We will play fun games to test their theropod knowledge. This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of Greek and Latin roots. Students will develop an understanding of where dinosaurs lived and what they might have looked like.
Students are asked to bring the name of their favorite theropods. They may also draw a picture of said dinosaurs.
Learner's knowledge will be assessed with fun quizzes.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
A Kahoot account is NOT required for learners.
We will be using https://kahoot.com/ in class . Please read over how to use split screen on your child's device or come prepared with a second device to use for Kahoot.
