In this class, learners will be invited to join the Citizen Scientist movement by collecting some data about butterflies they see in their own backyards. On Day one, the teacher will share data collected about butterfly sightings in her own back yard. From this presentation, students will learn to collect data in a tally chart, analyze data and create a bar graph with data. As a group, on day two, we will discuss our findings for the types of butterfly sightings found in the places each group member lives in the world and compare.
