For Beginner Clarinet players or for those about to enter beginning band program: In these lessons, I will show you how to produce a clear, strong tone from the clarinet’s mouthpiece and barrel before we move on to the body of the clarinet. You will also learn the proper technique for holding a clarinet, how to assemble a clarinet, and how to clean and store it. Clarinet lessons will also cover finger positions, scales, and tips for getting the most out of your practice time. I will help you to develop the musical skills you need to become a talented clarinetist. A method book and / or handouts will be decided after the first two or three lessons. Intermediate and Advance Clarinet players: Let's work on tone, technique, your current band music and any competitions you may be preparing for.
